Your close gm. I think you found enough to get info from the historical society of Garland. They will probably have the history of the address. I bet the place with the horses out front is it.

Good thought gm, make sure 56'. Is it loosing oil on the dipstick?
You don't have to "pull" the crank. It will make it easier if you loosen the main caps. I would definitely give a try,...
Great idea 56'!
Looking good 56"! What a great time with three generations, favorite cars, at the show!
Nicely done 56', way to go man!
It is a big job to go after that oil leak if it is the rear main seal....
Some great shots of the waterproof setup there Hdk! It looks like you have her ready for the show now.
This might help. The amount of pic's you can upload at a time is limited as gm said. There are a few things to keep in mind. Check this link for some info.

Also keep in mind this is a very primitive, undersized and non redundant brake system. I wonder if anyone has ever gotten the stock 9" original drum setup to "Lock up" on dry pavement. A panic stop...
This is a long standing thing we all struggle with. For me with my Android phone, if I hold the camera horizontally with the top to my left, it is correct when I download it to the site. I seldom get...
That seal fits much better! I might look into one of those. Where did you find it?
This tag is going to create a bunch of intrigue! I hope you find out more. I am thinking... did Willys have a program with a large re-builder of the time? Was it a motor that was purchased and...
gm's "Heep" was a blast to have at the parade no question. It probably got more looks than any of the stuff there. It is the real deal. You can tell it will work, and has worked for a long time....
Nice find gm! You might have to write to these guys to find that one.

Super nice Job Hdk! You are not the first to experience the poor fitting windshield seal. I was not able to find a real good fit. I tried a few different suppliers. It seems like there are only two...
Steve, I have experienced, and still do somewhat share your observations. I think the parts we are getting are not up to spec. I believe the drums are oversize and the shoes are not arched correctly,...
You could always fabricate or have one fabricated for you if you cant find one. Let us know how it goes.
Just checked out your photo album. Great shots man! It looks like serious clay there. At...
I think it is a 1/4" flare fitting. That means it would be a 7/16" x 20 thread pitch. Can you get a close up picture?
Get it to that car show 56", if its running take her out. It doesn't have to be finished that's for sure.
It sounds like someone might have slipped in a clutch shaft from another vehicle in there.
56' sounds like he knows exactly how to impress the neighbors! That's why some build em' 56, to make some noise!
Bubba engineering could definitely be in the works on the clutch shaft. It needs to be right or you will have trouble.
Many soldiers when they heard the infamous clicking or clunking of the axle...
It used to be the places like Summit looked at the products they sourced form China. It seems now they pass them right to us to check out, review and send back.
Thanks 56', I enjoy your project! Zinc is required in your engine. I would run a conventional 30 weight or a 10W-30 engine oil that contains Zinc, rather than add it. Zinc has its own issues. Too...
Its alive! Nice looking ride there TJ. I love the air conditioning! Great color combination. That baby will get some looks.
It is looking great 56' Here is a link for lubes.

After my oil disaster, I always install a new copper washer, tighten it down and fie it up. If it leaks I tighten till it stops.
A standard Harmonic Balancer puller will take the balancer off....
It is under engine oil pressure. A max of around 40 PSI or so. If it is not a good tight fit it will leak. If it is not solidly attached it will blow off and dump all the oil in a minute. The copper...
