    Timken axle

    Hello I'm from uruguay south América I'm restoring a 1953 willys pickup and i have what Seems
    To be a timken axle in the rear axle
    And the front axle is empty and dont know what axle is it
    The truck is 4x4 and the gear box is a 3 speed manual original

    I dont know anything año it the timken axle
    Ratio? Speed that the truck goes with this axle
    And what ratio to put in the front axle

    I would apreciate any help

    If anyone can give me any information i would apreciate it because i dont know the rear (timken i think) relation and the front differential is empty and dont know what relation
    or ratio (dont know how to explain it in english ) goes. with this axles what speed should the truck go?

    The Timken was an optional axle. The front should be a Dana 25. The standard ratio for both axles was 5.38:1. Speed at 2800 RPM would be around 46 MPH. There was an optional ratio of 4.88:1 which would give you a little more speed.
