    wheels

I do not have the stock wheels for my 1960 Jeep Wagon. I would like to find some that will fit. I want to lower the Jeep to make it more road worthy. Owner before me put shackles on the fron to pick it up to clear tires. Very unstable on the road. I never intend to go do any off roading with it. I do want to retain the bumper and wench because I do not have stock bumper. Any information would be appreciated.

Your best bet would be to find some 15" wheels. The bolt spacing is 5 X 5.5". Ford and Dodge pickup will fit, as long as they are for a 4X4. The center hole has to be large enough for the hub on the front axle. A good upgrade would also be to switch to a radial tire, as apposed to a bias ply. This will greatly improve the road manners on paved roads.
