Always wanted one, and now that I do, it's surreal, hopefully not way over my head wanting to do a complete restore with my kids. Any hints or bare knuckle do' s or dont's are welcome. Now I await warmer weather.
P.S. this was once a fire truck for the Port Washington Ohio Fire Department, siren still works and has an old plate. SN# denotes pickup, but has flat/stake bed.
Sounds like a great adventure for you and your children. Keep them involved, and give them tasks that will help them learn the basics. I spent may a days as a kid spraying hardware with WD-40, awaiting disassembly. Keep us in tune with what you are doing, and ask anything you wish. There is enough experience on here to help figure out most anything you may run against.
