    Willys CJ-5 Brake Shoes

Hi, I'm starting a brake job on my CJ-5 and was wondering about the brake shoes. Does the shorter shoe go in the front or the back?

Hi Amy , I find it easier to have the new parts in hand before removing the old so you can see how it is installed ...it makes the new install much easier , so try this and good luck with your brake shoe replacement ...

I also like to take a digital picture before disassembly. Been doing that since there were polaroids. Helps alot.

AmyB; did you get a straight answer to your question about the shoe placement? I am not comfortable with this forum yet and may have missed the answer to your question. Short goes to front on each wheel set. vc
