Hello All,
I just recently purchased a Jeep FC 150 and I'm sure I'll have questions as I fix it up over time. This is my first Jeep and I'm glad to have it. I'm looking forward to being apart of this forum.

Thanks,
Brian

That looks like a good score Brian. Never seen one of those here in OZ.

Interesting, they aren't real common, but they are out there if you look around in the States. The best examples come from the West, where the dry desert air has kept them from rusting to pieces. The ones on the East Coast are usually rusted out messes. I've been looking for one for the last three years. Mine came out of an Ohio barn and hadn't been used much since the seventies, if I'm to judge from the red shag carpeting that was glued to the ceiling and the cab walls. It's running, but rough right now. I think the timing is off.

Sorry to tap in lads but I'm in NSW and have just bought a FJ-6 US Mail Van

I am also wondering if any of these have made it before now

Don't be sorry to tap-in. We want to see new and different things.

Uuuhhhhh - I think you have shown us a first of a kind.

Is it an FC-150 with a special purpose body, or is it like the DJ-series for mail delivery?

AT least it has the steering on the right side of the vehicle - a good thing for folks in New South Wales.

How did you come by it? What is the story behind it? What are you going to do with it?

Welcome lawrenz, glad to have a neighbor on here.

Your FC looks pretty solid. There is a couple of groups that are dedicated to FCs. Check out eWillys.com for more information on all things Willys. There was also information on the FJ mail trucks as well.
When you learn more about your project, so we all can learn.

I saw an ad once that stated the F150 was at home on the turnpike and at home with no road. I thought the turnpike statement was a bit of a stretch. I had one when I was 17 for a short time. I got tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a dozen cars behind with no place to pull over. And it certainly wasn’t a chick magnet. But for me it was fun to drive, it provided hours of entertainment getting it unstuck, and it was bulletproof. I sure wish I had it now.
