With these low gears I will need a slow moving vehicle plackard on the tailgate to drive on the highway

Are Warn Overdrives a good investment?

I just finished up my '48 2WD (look in Ham's '48 in the restoration folder)- it has the Timken 5.38 gears. With the F-134 I say that I can pull a train with it - just not very fast.
The Dana rear-ends seem to have a few gearing options available if you can find them. While there were, theoretically, lower numbered options for my Timken "heavy-duty" differential - there don't seem to be any still in existence.
Just run it as it is and wave as people go by. They'll crane their necks anyway to stare at such a good looking truck!
Good luck...
