1947 CJ2A-----Leaking gas tank-around the gasket at electronic sending unit

I am having a problem with a leaking gas tank, specifically leaking at the gasket on the top of the fuel tank. I have replaced the gasket and tightened the screws, but it still leaks.....

Does anyone have a suggestion?

No...it does not appear warped...it is a new gas tank and sending unit...

I had the same problem and just bit down hard on the screws with a larger screwdriver and it stopped.
