Hey gang I have a 1944 willys that I'm getting from my aunt in a couple weeks I tried to research the vin number that is on the registration card with no luck according to card vin is DRF 71792 does this make sense to anyone

The card could be wrong or maybe serial number got lost somehow and the state assigned a number. See if you can find a serial number on the vehicle. Serial number should be on a data plate on passenger side dash and stamped into the frame on the left side behind the bumper.
