Each year this club holds a large military vehicle show which we have done for 27 years. It's usually held Saturday through Sunday, at the end of January. In the early days it was held at the Papago Military Museum at 52nd Street and McDowell, Phoenix. After about 9 years there we moved across the street to the National Guard gymnasium complex, also at 52nd Street and McDowell. Then we out grew that space- and the National Guard could no longer accommodate us due to operations overseas. So we moved first to Peoria Sports complex in the Arrowhead area of Glendale, AZ. Then to MetroCenter Mall at Dunlap and I-17. For 2016, we decided the show would be at Tempe Diablo Stadium's East Parking Lot in Tempe, AZ and are holding at this location for the time being. Usually we display at the end of January, the weekend before the Super Bowl. Check here for details or contact club officers from the contact page.
Parking is free, but we charge a small admission of $5 for adults. Kids with adults and active military ID's are free. This is to cover the cost of the fences, tents, restrooms and minimal advertising. We do sell vendor spots in tents or out in the open. We have large spots that you can bring in your vehicle and sell from it, or smaller spots.
If you own a military vehicle and would like to display it at the show, you will get in for free and meet a bunch of MV type people. Email for details, or just show up and ask where to park! Vendor and display setup day is Friday- if you can leave your display vehicle overnight. If you want to just come Saturday for a few hours, that's good too. We are considering improvements. Let us know if you have ideas.
