Newbie from Texas

Hello. I recently purchased a '52 M-38A1 from a farm in Georgia. They said she runs & drives, no gas tank or battery. I'm going to use an old boat gas tank temporarily. I was told she was converted from 24volt to 12 volt. My first of many questions, What size battery should I purchase from the local parts store?

Congratulations on the purchase of the A1!

You will only need the one battery, but they are a distinct size to fit in the battery box. Here is a previous discussion on another forum;
