not sure what this is ?

I recently acquired a 1946 CJ2A Willys registered as serial number 45225, came with lots of spare parts, gauges, engine (extra complete running gear) but it doesn't look right as in no tailgate but looks factory, fuel filler left hand side has a larger opening than what I've seen on pictures, no glove box in dash, 2 piece hinged windshield , frame looks right for a 2A, no stamped numbers anywhere on the tub or frame, it does run but smokes, has a bit of rust on the floor.......so i'm wondering if the gurus on here had any idea what this is ? i'll get some pics posted soon, thanks

Welcome Alame,

The Serial number puts it in line for a '46. Sounds like the body has been highly modified from it's original for. It is common to see the driver's side cut out for ease of getting in and out, especially if it was on a farm or ranch. We'll see what we can see when you post some pictures. It will better help us to determine what exactly you have.
