1952 M38A1. I’ve read various posts on this. I know people are pretty opinionated on lubes, especially on the transmission/transfer fluid. Any specific brands/blends y’all recommend for my steering box? Anything I need to avoid? Thanks in advance for your input. I didn’t know if any of these modern blends would damage anything in there. A specific brand name and blend is greatly appreciated. Not interested in any grease/oil mix at the moment because I don’t think I have a leak.

In the Tech section One65r. Here you go. There are threads on all the forms of lubrication required. Stick to the specified requirements, and not the opinions and you wont go wrong!

Nope wrong stuff for the steering box and knuckles. Don't get confused by the 140W specification. It means different things depending on what it is for. Gear oil is different than Steering box lube. It doesn't make sense but, the steering box lubricant is much much thicker than any gear or axle lubes. Lubes are rated differently by application. Use this lube in the Knuckles https://torqueking.com/product/777/closed-knuckle-lubricant-for-closed-knuckle-4x4-front-axles/ and this in the steering box use https://www.ecklers.com/champion-00-manual-steering-box-grease-57-376792-1.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=&scid=scplp57-376792-1&sc_intid=57-376792-1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwt4X8BRCPARIsABmcnOpoWmkK5L1C6LecfxJg rwte3l8MAzIYP6Q8QhAwK1Ap0Pfu-hyaJjcaAlfQEALw_wcB .
