I haven't been able to find a glove box button/latch for the CJ-5. Anybody know where I might find one or find a substitute?

okiemark, Willys and Chrysler used the same glove box locks, and there might be others. There were not a lot of glove box lock suppliers back then. Look for glove box locks for 1950 to 1970 Chrysler cars.

I'll look into that. Thanks.

This comes up from time to time. Google glove box door latch, and pick one you like. Most were universal, and non brand specific.

Yeah, I think I could make about anything work as long as it fits the hole in the lid. I could even just put a knob and mount a magnet catch.

Mark do you have a photo of what it looks like?

Just curious if you found one? I am also looking for one that fits the dash glovebox in my 1960 wagon.

I finally got one off Ebay, searched for 1970 Chrysler glove box latch and then looked at the photos until I found one that looked like the housing I had of the old one.
