WOW that’s Sweet!!!
I thought about SS when I started my project but I wanted to change a bunch of things so I decided not to go with SS just because I didn’t want to invest in a TIG welder for stainless or convert my MIG to stainless. It would outlast our grand kids kids for sure if it’s a high grade of SS.

I have seen Stainless Bodies. It does pose some interesting issues. John Delorean ended up wishing he painted them! Tough to fix when they get dented.

Would that be as inconvenient to mount to a Willys as I imagine it to be?

A good question for gmwillys. Come in gmwillys.... calling gmwillys. I think a CJ7 is considerably longer.

Jeff the CJ7 is 18"-19" longer than the CJ2 or 3's I already check into that when I did mine and was contemplating going with stainless steel, for some reason a CJ2 or 3 stainless body was like hens teeth to find and if you did find one it was like it was made out of gold.
Grant it you could set her up on saw horses and whack 18"s out of the bed but that is a boat load of work and TIG/MIG welding and grinding to make it fit.
The one jeep found on Facebook Market is actually a pretty good deal for all SS if you had the right fit for it.
