Grandpa’s car

I was given a 1949 Jeepster by my grandpa and am trying to get it running again after sitting in storage for 25 years. I am having a difficult time removing the rear drums on each side. They are most likely rusted on or have seized up is my guess. Any advise on removing these without breaking anything? The fronts came off pretty easy. Thank you

KW has a drum remover. Kind of pricy but a lifetime tool.

by the way, post of pic of the ol' girl. A 49' Jeepster sounds awesome. :)

Welcome Grandpa's car!

The puller that tmonelo is referring to is a good piece of equipment to have. It is heavy duty enough to suck the drums right off without causing major harm to the drum.

We look forward to seeing learning more about Grandpa's car in future installments!

Would you like to sell your Jeepster? I know it has sentimental value, but asking just in case you would rather have the money. Thanks.
