can anyone tell my why when you accidently short a circut, the whole truck goes down, and why after a long while it resets it self? and what would be the solution to avois this?, fusable links for each circut??.

Try checking your voltage regulator or something else might be messing up your fuses.

thank you, i changes the reg. points and all nine yards, when i went to hook up the new electric wiper motor i accedently hit a power supply and shorted out the truck.. ( twice now ), thier really anit no fuse's in the truck, but i was told that the light switch & ignition switch are some typr of electromagnetic? is this true?? , and im guessing if it is true they reset themselves?? not to sure

i had a look in my workshop manual tonight but i couldn`t find any mention of electrical system protection except for a fuse fitted in the turn indicator wireing.

maybe yours has been fitted with a self restting circuit breaker at some time.??
