Anyone out there have any experience lifting a 3a? Will the 2.5 cj5 springs fit without relocating the hangers?

Hello Earl! A lot of guys have lifted them a lot of ways. If you want to do it with springs, I would use a set of lift springs designed to fit it with the lift you want. Someplace like Detroit Leaf Spring could set you up if you give them a call. I would stay away from relocating the hangers. There isn't much room on a 3A frame.

Thanks for the information. I found thejeepsterman.com offers American made springs as well.

He has a great PDF catalog there on that link.
I think to get a bolt in set of lift springs for a 3A, you are going to have to find a custom spring. That is the best way to lift them a small amount like 2". Stay away from a re-arch spring. They will not last long when modified as a lift spring.
You will need to change the yoke on the transfer case output and lower the transfer case. or the driveshaft angles will become excessive.

Really appreciate your advice. What started as a c-19 project for me and the boys is starting to cause friction between the wife and I. Time to get Grocery Getter out the garage.
