Is that what you call “Labor of Love”?
To give you an idea of the hours it takes, I worked on mine almost every day for 7 months straight. It seldom sat. Almost every day it received attention. I would say averaging 3 hours a day for over 200 days. I wasn't rushing it, but I was diligent. I wanted to get it done for the 2019 Jeep Fest. I also had to take the trans back out and change the case. There was a lot of "figuring out".
It definitely will take your time. Now a small shop would charge $70 an hour. That's a big bill for labor! I can't wait to send myself an invoice.
I’d hate to think of the hours I put in mine bmorgil, mine wasn’t bad if I got off work and stayed at the shop a couple 3 hours a day but on the weekend when we didn’t work it was 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back.
Now that I have the new garage at the house it won’t be that bad to walk out back, but s^#t I’m almost done now.
Time to start another I guess!!!
God I hope the Bride doesn’t see this:):):)
Something like a labor of love. Between averaging 60 hours a week, taking on side jobs, and other obligations, there isn't much time for my own junk.
My whole intention for today was to pull up a couple of shrubs next to the drive way, then start in on the driver's floor on the wagon. The shrubs ripped out in no time, but then there was enough roots left intact to transplant to where the trees blew down during last week's storm. There went a couple of hours digging two holes. Then the front ornamental trees looked shabby, so that needed attention. By the time that was all done, it was time to fire up the grill.
You need another project for the new shop!
I've worked pretty steady 2 to 3 hours a day for about 3 months and I am down to pretty much body and paint and wiring. The grill is the only part of the body that needs work and I have started on it. I will have to have warmer weather to do the major painting. It is amazing all the little things you never think about until you encounter them that takes up time.
Put some wind back in my sails today!!!
