Sounds like a plan to me. I have about four hours of work to having our 2A back on the road....sans new tires. Ugh. This thing will never be done. It will be good enough to go to Dairy Queen or the grocery store for now.
I knew if I was patient enough I would find what I've been looking for!!!!!
A 47 pickup 45 minutes south of me..........

Wow what a find! Super clean. Big time patina candidate. I don't think I would be able to alter it. It looks complete for a great restore project. It looks like someone already has it in great shape.
Here is what the add read
Seller's description
Willys Overland 2 Wheel Drive 1 Ton Pickup
Go Devil 4 cyl 3 on the tree
No rust at all. Everything rebuilt. 12 volt conversion.
New tires brakes. Runs and drives great.
Also have extra bucket seats and old 6 volt components.
Fun Truck clear coated to keep original patina.
Great find! You know what I think about the paint. If it pans out, Bmorgil will have to get him one! The three Amigos.
Man that would be a tough act to follow! That is a pretty nice truck.
He just sent some more pictures
Here we go, it is pretty clean!!!

OMG ----- IT'S A 2WD!!!!!
There is some rebuilding up front around the radiator and a different air cleaner, but it has the two piece "C'mere Dear" front seat, the push button doors and the special factory option cigar lighter on the passenger side of the dash. Of course, it has the square instrument panel and I'd bet it also has the engine turned speedometer and gauge bezel.
There are no steps between the cab and back fender - that might be a '47 vs. '48 difference and the '48 does not have the three decorative indentations between the cab and rear fender on the bed side.
Tunisian Red Baby! We'd drive Morgil absolutely nuts!!!
