Backfire Result

Thought I would share this pic. My 62 CJ5 backfired and blew the muffler out. I found an "open" on the secondary circuit of the ignition coil. The distributor was a electronic ignition conversion from the original 6volt system. That was done several years ago by the previous owner by the way. Valves, timing...etc. all checked good. The ole gal fired up right away after replacing the ignition coil.

From looking at how thin that metal was, you got your money out of that one.
