I know it is a 1953 Jeep Cj3B with a F134 engine. Would like to know if it is rare and how many where made?

155,00 total were made in the United States. 1953 was the first year it was made. Had the overhead intake valves in the head, making it necessary for the hood to be raised for clearance. You have a good one. Everyone her likes to see photos.
Welcome Venturi,
In '53, there were only 27,749 3Bs made that year, and yours was number 72 of that 27,749. Willys liked to start their serial numbers out at 10,000, so your 3B was within days of the initial start of production date for the model run.

Wow that's a great start to your Jeeps story. One of the first 100 3B's built. Take some pictures of that thing!
Here she is!!!!
Thanks so much for that info!!Attachment 7344
Check that 3B out! Nice Jeep there. It looks to be in great shape. The cap is interesting. I am wondering if gmwillys will recognize it as an antique or a homemade. Are there any tags on the top?
That is a good looking Jeep.
Great looking jeep!!!
That is a great looking 3B. The top appears to be a Koeing Iron Works or a Kelly half cab, but I'm not real versed in all the different brands of aftermarket cabs. It looks similar to one I had on one of my donors, but the roof line is different.
