My solution was to put in a 12 volt battery and a Delco alternator along with a change out of the coil and lamps. The original 6 volt starter is still on the vehicle...just one word of caution, keep...

Bought "Ole Red" (a very, very faded Harvard Red) in April 1969 for $500.00. It was in bad shape as someone had used it to push things with and had really crushed the front bumper and frame horn on...
