Welcome back! We all will wish your Bride the best in her recovery, and a prayer for you for holding things together.
Welcome LMDMD,
There are a couple of quick things to look for to determine the vintage of your M151. The easiest is the shape of the front fenders. The A2s had a flat fender, then a step down on...
Makes sense. Ours had the battery removed from the firewall, when the Chevy small block was installed back in the '70s.
In my opinion, decals aren't needed. A basic invasion star on the hood would be as far as I would want to go. If you were to put a USA along with a registration number of random numbers on the...
Welcome Gerry,
I have had the same issue until late. I had put in a recycled cable from one of my donors after the original cable gave out. The slightly used cable worked for a time, then the...
Projects are projects for life. Money spent is an investment. Although one may never see a favorable return on their investment besides happiness or accomplishment.
We hate that you'll not be finishing your 3A, but you are more than welcome to stick with us to share your extensive automotive knowledge.
3,600.00 is a very fair price for a dry Jeep. If I had...
Great job on your troubleshooting efforts. Simple things first is a great motto, unless it involves going under the dash of a Willys. We have all been there, putting off diving under the dash, just...
Thank you for the update. We look forward to being a part of your progress.
Hopefully 2021 will be a better year, and we can all get back to normal. I know I would like to make the trip over to...
My gut tells me that it is the parking brake cable mount on the crossmember. I'll have to scour my photos and look to see if I can spot it. If not, I'll need to confirm my suspicion on our 2A later...
The buckle ends are 4" long, while the long end are 25" long.

That is a great looking 3B. The top appears to be a Koeing Iron Works or a Kelly half cab, but I'm not real versed in all the different brands of aftermarket cabs. It looks similar to one I had on...
Brian,
Thank you for your service! The guts that it takes to rush into an angry sea rivals our most celebrated warriors.
Very well done! The top turned out great!
God works in mysterious ways. He never puts on us more than we can handle, even though it doesn't always seem like it. For the brother we lost, we can rest assured that God was in need of a good...
Welcome Venturi,
In '53, there were only 27,749 3Bs made that year, and yours was number 72 of that 27,749. Willys liked to start their serial numbers out at 10,000, so your 3B was within days of...
The serial number looks to use MB as the prefix. The WWII Jeeps used the MB prefix. The M38 used MC, but the serial number range is too low for your engine to be an M38.
Great project!
Vintage wiring is out of Silas, Alabama. I don't know if they bought out Vintage wiring of Maine, but according to Mrs. Google, they have the same phone number.... I haven't used the Alabama vintage...
I did some Google searches that yielded a lead, but it didn't pan out well. I haven't given up, just haven't had a chance to dig more. More to follow.
I had a gas tank off of an M38A1 that I took to one of my racing buddies to hot tank. The darn think looked like Swiss cheese on the bottom when it came out. The project was on a shoe string...
I had one M38 that had electric wipers already installed when purchased. When picking it up and hauling it across country, I folded down the windshield to reduce drag. The wipers that were...
Welcome BrianAnthony,
A $50 Crate of Jeep would be nice to stumble across, (there are still rumors that swirl around that there are still a few in a warehouse that are awaiting discovery) but I'm...
Cwnut81,
We will be more than happy to help out whatever you may need help on. As far as tips, keep things simple and don't overthink a problem. Most problems are a matter of advanced age,...
Bmorgil converted his oil bath filter housing to accept a paper element to where it looks factory, but has the replaceable paper element for cheap. He posted it in the tech library with some good...
All problems can be solved with a few good folks putting their heads together.
