I would say the weekend is done!
Man that is some serious lash under that rocker. Whats up there gm? Looks like the valve didn't make it home or the cam lobe\lifter is not there any more.
Good news indeed dg! A few things can cause a rattling sound when a motor has been setting for 40 years. The most common being rust and build up in the combustion chamber. It is good that it "went...
This will be a new thing for 2021. A remote controlled Jeep track. Looks like there is something there for member bluesblooded!
Here is a local news clip: ...
OMG!!! Not today. I can see the lawyers lining up. What a funny old commercial. That has to be about early 1960 maybe?
Wow LarrBeard, 1915 ish? Just kidding! That stuff is still around, Bull in the Woods.
I have the "Sparton" horn on 12 volts. A nice loud BEEP BEEP... sounds like the road runner! This is a fun web...
Larry, did you ever find a 53' with a Timken axle you can get an End Yoke off of? It appears the Timken 51540 Axle was also used in 48' through 53' Ford pickups and maybe even some cars. From what I...
Welcome DNavy! That is a big project for sure! You will definitely have a cool Jeep when your done. I originally wanted to restore a Korean War era Jeep. My Father served and survived Korea. I ended...
Here is the latest on the Toledo Jeep Fest. The event is scheduled to begin on Friday August 6th.
Currently we know of at least four kaiserwillys.com members that will be in the Parade, with KW...
Unbelievable! That is really something. All printed, just amazing. Man you put the hours into that! I love the sound. It sounds like its a worker!
Those 6 volt systems demand perfection!
Check out the photo tribute to pelago, very nice LarrBeard!

Gotta love "Made in USA". They are high quality. Brass and Stainless Steel.
Same part numbers Cajun, those Milodon part numbers will fit that 88' just fine. 16400 and 16401.
I was thinking a Snap On might fit in there. I might just wring out my wallet for one. Is that a vintage Snap on gm?
You have to admit it immediately brings a smile/grin to your face!
Thanks for the "Bump" Larry!
Fit's them all, all Willys and Jeeps from 1941 to 1971. Truth be known it is the same thermostat part number used in 60's and 70's era Chevrolet's. That Milodon is a...
Welcome Jeff! It should turn smooth once it breaks loose and the rings should drag smoothly. I think any good engine builder will tell you they are all a little different when you first put them...
9" brakes vs 11" brakes are a huge difference. There are a few different brakes out there. We are speaking of the 9" Bendix style found on the early Military and CJ's. They are very touchy and...
Good catch Larry, yes if there is a restriction on the suction side, it will starve for fuel and it can be hard on the pump. A "no restriction" screen is usually right at the pickup in the tank.
gm has you going in the right path. I have a tool drawn up to make, I just haven't gotten around to the machine shop yet. Here is a photo of what I use. The lower jam nuts up front are the worst....
Good stuff TJ! https://willysjeepforum.kaiserwillys.com/album.php?albumid=116
Cajun, I use these products with great success. https://www.eastwood.com/paints/rust-solutions/treatment.html Their inside frame coating is very good. Very thin it gets everywhere.
You are correct Mark, too close and it hums too far away and nothing. You have a very limited range there.
You always have to read an "Az post" a few times to be sure you get it all.
Aarg! The California CHP and DMV, I have run afoul of both of them in a past life!
