Interested in Jeep project

Retired Army, kids all gone, always wanted a military jeep. My wife give the go-ahead,{wow}, I live a half mile from where i work. Looking for something I can restore fairly cheap and drive back and forth to work. I am not looking for show quality but would like authentic. Would prefer a ford m151 because thats what we when I joined. Understand those are rare, would be happy with a willys. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
