    1947 cj2a?

We recently bought what we thought was a '47 CJ2A. It is titled as a '47 CJ2A. Now, we're not so sure. Some friends of ours have one and parking them side by side, there are quite a few differences. The most obvious is the insulated aluminum top, doors and solid windshield. I know that numerous cold weather tops were produced and could be fitted to the CJ2A (the top was made by Overland Willy's). The spare tire mounts to the rear and it has a pop up vent in front of the windshield to allow air to get under the hood while driving. Any ideas?

Haven't seen one with a vent like that on it. The windshield looks to be from an M38. The spare is usually mounted on the right rear on the 2a.

The serial number was taken out from under the hood and placed inside. Here are some more pics.

Appears to be a CJ-2A with an M-38 hardtop.
