    Question Identify Mystery Part

Need help with this part. I have no idea what it is or what it does. It is on the passenger side engine compartment backed up to the firewall. It has 2 steel lines connected to it that are about the size of fuel or brake lines. It also has a larger diameter rubber hose connected to it that is connceted on the other end to a T that is screwed in to the head below the Carb. It is on a 63 Willys CJ5 with the F-134

    Hi,
I'm not completely sure but that might be some kind of fuel pump. I've never seen one like that so I couldn't tell you what it is off of.

At a quick glance the thing looks like a "smog pump" of some sort, but but a smog pump was belt driven off the front end of the engine. You wrote:

    Where do those lines connect?

That could give us a hint as to what this thing is dealing with ....

Oddly enough, I found out that it is a brake booster. http://www.emercedesbenz.com/Jun06/2..._Released.html
