    Separate L6-226 engine from transmission

    Hello,
I am restoring my willys and I got to the part where I need to remove the engine to overhaul it. My problem is I don't know how to separate the transmission (T90) from the actual engine (L6-226), I had removed all the bolts already, but I'm assuming something inside the bell housing needs to get de-attached. I'm attaching some pictures. Please help.

Just some info about my project. My cousin sold me an abandoned Jeep Willys CJ5 with an adapted L6-226 engine and T-90 transmission. I've been working on it and have put apart most of it already, but now I'm stuck with removing the engine.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
As long as all the bolts have been removed and there are no cables attached the engine should come right out.

Mr.E, There are 2 hidden bolts behind the flywheel. You will have to drop the clutch and flywheel first. Then, you will have access to them. Its a pain. Bones
