    The upper mounts are shown here;

    The lower mounts look like these, and you can see the bolt heads and the hole in the lower lip of the door opening;

    The picture is of an M38, so an A1 is slightly different at the bottom mount. The door configuration itself is really close. The A1 is flat on the tub sides, (rockers/quarter panels) the door mounts within the door opening, rather than the outside of the tub.

    I found the page where they are listed.

    I doubt if the plastic in the driver's door will clean up - it is probably aged and yellowed to the point that it is gone. The other seller's offer for a passenger side says it has a missing top window.

    If you grabbed the two of them you would have good steel, but would still have to get camvas.

    Can you get canvas once you have the frames?

    Well, since I'm giving out free advice and it's not my money - here is an opinion:

    A. Buy the passenger door. It's usable and shipping is free.

    B. Pass on the driver door. It's unusable and shipping is expensive. When I look at it - it shows shipping to Indiana as $60.00 - it could be more to you on the coast there.

    C. When I look at how much cutting, sewing, fitting and installing zippers, grommets and fasteners are in a set of doors, $180 a set is a good pile of dollars, but it isn't unreasonable. Think of what a set of sails costs.

    Free advice and worth every penny.

    Have a good Memorial Day

    LarrBeard, I noticed the photo of that ship. What is the story on it? As I sit here there is the only photo I know of of my dad's ship, the USS Gosper APA-170. That was an Attack Personnel Transport. It was built in 1942 I believe but some things look similar to the ship in your photo. His ship was supposed to support the Iwo Jima invasion, but they were damaged in a storm crossing the Pacific and had to return for repairs. They did, however support the Okinawa invasion and were converted to a hospital ship and then transported POWs back after WWII.
