    Removing a D18 Transfer case

I have a '52 M38a1. I am in the process of removing the transfer case. The pictures show what I have done so far. But I am unable to remove the tc. Is there something I've missed or do I just have to put a whole lot of torque to remove the tc? Thanks -G

I'm about to do the same thing to my 52 M38A1, only mine will be going to a reputable transmission shop because I'm not that handy. What was the reason for removing you transfer case? I just bought mine and it leaks like no tomorrow, so I'm hoping to have it gone through and resealed.

I'm not sure what happened here. It is a very old post. I'm thinking it was stuck on the output bearing.
