    64 cj5

I'm new to this site. I have a cj5 1964 that we are doing a total restoration on. Have frame and axles powdercoated and back on. Working on engine now. Painting it and will install it next week

I have a 63 cj5 runs well but I need brakes. it practically does not stop. What are you doing with your brakes? I wanted to convert to front disks, but I have no clue how or where to start. So, thinking of just trying to replace the drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, master cyl.

I am keeping my original brakes. Bought new shoes, all new lines, wheel cylinders, new master cylinder and all new emergency brake stuff.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the same. Did you use a dual master and proportioning valve?
