    New guy New build

Hi everyone I'm New here. My name is Matt and I live in Lumberton Texas. My grandfather gave me his 1948 willys cj-2a. It will need a lot of work and has me with a lot of questions but I will rebuild it and restore it! Hopefully I get a lot of help out of this forum and questions answered. I've noticed its super hard to find answers in most forums about willys. This is the willys it is a little homemade. Has the 226 super hurricane 6 cylinder motor swapped into it.

I asked a question under tech answers not sure if that's the right place to ask. But what year and model should I select to find parts for the 226 super hurricane in my cj2a and there is 2 bolts yhat are supposed to hold the thermostat housing to the head and they are missing. I was also wandering if anyone knew the size and thread count of those 2 bolts? I will have to clean the threads and rechase them before I put the bolts in. All of this for the 226 super hurricane motor

The 226 was used in some wagons and trucks starting about 1954.
