    6v to 12v voltage regulator ?

Hi guys, I'm making progress on my 53 truck, have the engine rebuilt converting to 12v. I bought a 12v regulator along with my new wiring hardness. Will have to splice the battery wire so it will reach as the 12v has this terminal on the opposite side as the 6v regulator.
Anyway my question is besides the lights and fuel gauge sending unit will I have to change out anything else? I already added the alternator and 12v coil, and starter. Since the oil presure gauge and water temp gauge are electrical will these need to be changed over to 12v or will they still work accurately?

Thanks for any in site you can provide!

The oil and temp gauges will work accurately with 12 volt, but the back lighting bulbs will burn out from the added voltage.
