    Dash panel identification...help

    Working on my 53 truck and I have a dash panel directly in front of the steering wheel. Can I get some help identifying what this

    The 1950-era trucks were designed to be rigged for left hand or right hand drive. The panel behind the steering wheel was for the glove box in a RH drive truck. It appears that someone has added a dome light and other buttons and switches for other stuff.

    Ok thanks for the explanation. It was my understanding it used to be a forestry service truck then went to a fire department. Could have been added at that point. Appreciate your input.

    Those lights turn up in the most unusual of places. I was looking for something, and found the same light mounted between the sun visors on this wagon;
