    Dreaded f head in my 1944 GPW which carburetor?

    I almost hate to bring this up, but my 1944 GPW has an F 134 engine in it. It came this way. I have been unable to locate a decent L 134, so I need to fit a new carburetor under the hood. Does anyone have an opinion on side draft, vs. Holly 1904, vs. Autolite 1100? I am trying to close the hood, and be as close to 150 CJ as possible.
