Rebuilding the front axle on my 54 cj3b I've got the axles out and I'm trying to locate the inner oil seal. According to the book the service for the front axle is the same as the rear. I had no problem replacing them in the rear. But I don't see them in the front axle. All I see is a brass thrust washer and then looking down the tube into the differential nothing. I did read something about some axles don't have inner or oil seals to allow the differential oil out to the bearings or in this case the CV joints for Lube is that the case? I think I have a Dana 44 in the back and a 25 in the front I might be wrong on that. Thanks for your help. One other question the brass bushing that the front outer shaft rides in. Should it be replaced at every chance or not?
