Somebody really doesn't belong in this picture - and I don't mean the lady with a gun ....

Naw, it's the Good Humor Man; would you like a Popsicle or DreamBar?

Haha just ribbing you! Looking very good! I had to say something... my Dad was army. He remembered fondly the trip to Korea. He said the cook fed him oranges. Its the only thing he could keep down! No sea legs. He said the trip back to Angel Island was much better! I owe you lunch. Hope we run into each other at the parade.

I don't know how a truck in the arena gets to go to the parade ...

As of now I am planning to have the truck hauled up Friday. Wife will come up and as she, "Entertain herself while you guys play with your toys". We'll probably hit the Toledo hotspots and I'll drive the truck home Sunday afternoon.

we need to set up a where and when once we figure out a bit more about this shindig.

For sure we have to set something up. No you won't be in the parade that's for sure. Let me a know a time and I'll meet you by your truck. I would like to crawl under it and look at the driveshafts.

Here is something a small village near me did. It's pretty cool.

My mother's family lived in a small Illinois town. Every July 4th they set up a park walk that is lined with flags and plaques with everybody's names and service dates. A lot of the residents have served from the Civil War on. I'll have to look and see if I have the photos on my computer at home.
