Thank you. I went at it with the "what if?" factor in mind. "What if" VW had actually made a pickup in the 30's and them some kid fresh back from the war built it into a hot rod. What would that look like? So I sketched a picture and started cutting.

As for my future Willys project, it will be more of a restoration with a few minor updates. I can't wait to get started.

    Super Bug Ford Like Truck

Looking at that VWFordTruck, I don't think there is anything on a flat fender CJ resto-mod that you won't be able to handle.

And, we don't judge on where you take your project, but we may raise an eyebrow and go "Say - What???"

(The Jeep in the attached picture was sitting in the back corner of the arena at the Toledo Jeep Fest.).

Thank you. And I'm not going anywhere close to that direction. LOL

My planned modifications would only be safety and functionality type mods. I mean, I'm looking for a Jeep that's 75 years old basically. I'm just hoping to help it last another 75 years or so.

I stand better informed and educated! Thanks for that tidbit of history. Good article.

It just goes to reinforce the Second Law of Jeep:

    2. Don't say Willys would never ......... .

I'll leave that one alone. Just stay away from the monkey meat vendors.
