    CJ3B Restored Value

I have a 1962 CJ3B that needs a complete body kit just to get started restoring. I wanted a military Willys jeep to restore, not a civilian model like I ended up with after being mislead into driving out of state to get it. I also have a 1954 M28A1 that I recently picked up to restore that is in better shape. My question is which one would be more valuable restored? Also, was there CJ3B's used in any military conflicts that would justify me restoring it like a military model? If I did this, would I lower the re-sale value of it for not restoring it as it was sold on the civilian market? Thanks to anyone who can provide me advice to decide the best direction to proceed.

I am no expert but just tooling around on the internet I have seen the 1962 valued at $21K and the 1954 up to $17K. You can only get what someone is willing to pay. I would definitely account for the cost of the restoration, ability to purchase parts and time of course. Good luck its a tough decision.
