    Original oil filter mount

I have a 57 CJ5 F 134 that had a remote oil filter. I wanted to move it back to the engine mount. I see that by adding the oil filter bracket you need to remove some head bolts. If I do this do I need to replace the head gasket or can I just torque the bolts back down?

You can install the bracket, then torque the hardware back.

Make sure the engine is cold. Torque the nuts you remove and then warm the engine. Re-torque them warm. It would be a real good idea to check the torque on all of the head studs while the engine is warm.
