New To Forum - First Post - New Owner M38A1 (1952) Mississippi

New Member & Jeep Owner (1952 M38A1). Got it for Father's Day. Wanted one for 15 years. I'm located in Mississippi. Looking forward to getting to know some of you.
Picked it up in Fairhope, AL. Had been sitting in a garage for 8+years. Had to drain the gas (obviously), do a rebuild on the carb, rebuilt fuel pump, batteries, cables, and some dry rotted lines. Tires have some flat spots I'm trying to drive out. About 80% better so we'll see how much more of that goes away. Put a couple hundred miles on it and I'm loving it. About to dump all the fluids and start new with oil, antifreeze, trans/transfer, differentials, etc. and gonna replace a couple of those gaskets because I'm getting a few spots/puddles on the garage floor drip pan.

Wow, that is a jewel! Most of us aren't lucky to find something that nice to start out with.

Beautiful - but it needs unit markings.

The first guy to get to it with a stencil and a paint can can claim it!

Great find!... You snuck one out of Alabama on me. Just kidding, I sure don't need another project clogging up the Hall of Heeps, even with one in the caliber of yours.
