You are going to love that thing Stephane!

p.s. If it was not for spell check, you would be surprised at how many ways I can spell something. I have no excuse.

    Great news on the frame!

Don't worry about your spelling. If it wasn't for spell check, you wouldn't have a clue to what I might be trying to tell you. Welcome to our neighbor to the north!

Here are some pictures from what I yhink is incorrect.
The oil filtering system, the horn and the driver side pannel wich has no sluts for the axe and shevel.
I guess all those can be fix. I would need your opinion on that and especialy on the driver panel.
This is my last coment on this introduction thread. I will start a new thread when I am starting the overhaul next winter. Until then I will enjoy the thing on its weel.
Please fell free to coment any thing any time . I am new in this and I will need your help and knoledge.

    Best regards
    stéphane.

Well they didn't have a spin on oil filter as you suspected but, the one you have looks very good and functional. The distributor is the civilian type. A very nice build there regardless. The mounting hardware for the axe and shovel are available. gmwillys and pelago should be able to help out on a lot of questions on original M38A1's.

Nice Jeep, that should be a lot of fun.
