1952 M38a1 serial #

Hello,
I bought a 1952 M38a1 jeep in AZ. I am having it restored and it is coming along well. I want to find out the history of the jeep. It has no markings, can anyone help me out? The front fenders have the seam and the grill is hinged. I understand most were built in Canada.
