    A total Jeep geek observation.

The listed displacement of the 4 cylinder engines is 134.2 cubic inches. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

    Coincidence?

Nice catch! It is funny that the little 4 uses 1-3-4-2. Most European 4's use 1-2-3-4. Here in the U.S. it has pretty much always been 1-3-4-2.

It is one of those if you believe in coincidences things. Then again, perhaps it is no coincidence at all! The engineering theory is by dividing the crank throws up into a 1-3-4-2 order promotes a smother, and hence more powerful power output.

No coincidence. All perfect vehicles show their stripes once in awhile.
