A guy on the CJ3 Forum sez the Carter YF964 i have is for Stovebolts. And that i need a YF938 (or other newer upgrade) for my Jeep. Not sure if that's entirely accurate, but he may well be correct. i did see somewhere that some CJ3B's had 964S's installed originally... But i did get it back running, only to discover i still had huge power issues. Or fuel supply issues as you (i think) suggested on another thread.

However, for now, i am dealing w/ electrical issues: while wiring up a second (Righthand) wiper something shorted badly. So in the throes of going over every wire and replacing many wasted/worn-out wires. I really need a new Harness...but that'll have to wait.

Thank God there aren't a lot of wires under there Steve. The toughest part is crawling underneath. I am getting to the point where that is painful for days!

A cheap set of drug store reading glasses help out under the dash

A good tip i got off of a youtube vid: take out seats, put pillows in floorwells, cover with blanket(s). Put on headlamp and reading glass, lay on back and WIRE! Helps if wife or kid hands you tools and your beer as needed. (i can't get em to do that!)

It took me several days to realize that you had made a breakthrough with this technique - a Redneck Netti Pot.

This gives a whole new meaning to "Hey ya'll - hold my beer!"

(It's winter, we're getting cabin fever.)

Next step - "I shot six holes in the freezer..." (Jimmy Buffet, Boat Drinks)
