Thanks... I have read the "start-up best practices" and think it is one of the best I found anywhere. I have watched some YouTube videos too. THANKS! I just need to drag the rust bucket to my garage and get to work. We have a lot of rain/ice/snow in the forecast so it may be a while. Like I said, I have done a lot of research on this and other sites. I have a plan, budget, tool list etc. drafted and edit it routinely, I just need to hit the start key!

Great to see you are building a plan of attack. Getting all the supplies and tools together is great approach as well. Warmer weather is right around the corner, so you'll be ready to hit the ground running when it's time.

Well a couple of years of procrastinations and I finally loaded the jeep up on a rollback and brought it home. The brakes aren't locked up but they are defiantly dragging. After two baths it was almost clean enough to pull into my garage. With a come-A-long and a lot of different lengths of tow straps and it is in the garage and ready for some TLC. I pulled the battery and it is dated 1995.... So it has been sitting in a damp garage for a long time. It took me a couple of weeks just to get the lug nut off spraying penetrating oil every couple days. The next step is to pour some Marvel Mystery Oil in the spark plug holes and I guess we will see what happens after that.

Oh man AJ-MJ, and so it begins! I can't wait to see how she survived the wait. I am sure you are going to have some good projects to conquer. Take some pictures for us.

You are well on your way in getting started AJ-MJ. We look forward to tagging along in your progress. 1995 doesn't seem to be that long ago, but it is almost 30 years ago.... Holy cow. But anyway, hopefully the engine will be kind to you, and turn over after giving the cylinders a little lube.
