    New Guy in GA

Just bought a 1958 Willys. It had a restoration started when he owner passed away and it has been setting for 9 years. It has a number of new parts but they have been setting for years. So the Forum has already helped with the iitial checkout.
Here's a rundown. Body it very rusty.
Motor runs nice and quiet when you but gas in the carb. Brakes were new when parked but were totally gummed up. Have since been rebuilt, cleaned and bled now have a full pedal. Fuel pump looks new , have cleaned the gas tank and replaced fuel lines. Look to try it this weekend.
Transmission will not go into 1st or reverse. The forum has a lot of good information on possible problems and repairs.
Looking forward to getting it running and playing in the mud a little before a new Tub goes on.

It looks like a great start Richard! You may want to put a filter between the fuel pump and the carb just in case all that setting generated some debris.

Yes sir will do. I have cleaned the tank twice but expect more rust to turn loose.

    Welcome Richard0001,

Not a bad looking '58 at all. A great start to a project for sure.
