If you find the culprit lets feed them to gm's dog!

I rebuilt mine, the original 6 volt horn. I converted the electrical to 12 volts and feed it to the 6 volt horn as gm alludes to below. I had to tune it to sound like the original and it does, very loud!

Where is this dog located??? I'd LOVE to feed the culprit directly into the open mouth of a large hungry dog!

I'll try and get to taking the horn apart today. Yesterday was "fun-filled" action regarding my jeep. In fact, it was SO fun filled that I may start another thread on this. Hint: CHP, DMV.

Aarg! The California CHP and DMV, I have run afoul of both of them in a past life!

    HOOOONK!!!
It works now. Thanks again all.
I took it apart easily. The cap just popped off with a screwdriver. I cleaned the contact, messed around. Got it to "HMMMMMMM," then adjust the distance of that contact. I don't quite understand how that works? Too far of a gap and no horn. Too close gave me the HMMMMM. Either that, or my jumper just wasn't decent enough. I did some arch welding on it.
    Well anyway... it works now!

You are correct Mark, too close and it hums too far away and nothing. You have a very limited range there.

So yesterday I'm at a signal, waiting to turn left. Any, you guessed it, the left arrow goes green and the moron in front of me is staring at his phone.
I wait 1.75 seconds and realized he's obviously paying attention to Instagram, Snapchat, Tic Tok, Flick Flack, Flo Flarf, Dip Sh*t, or whatever the hell he's staring at.
I then realize that I'VE GOT A HORN now.
HOOOOOOOOOONK! Well I actually just gave it one firm HONK.
He looked up to see me three inches from his bumper... probably just saw WILLYS in his rear view mirror.
I was able to make my left turn.
I like this "low tone" horn. It's not obtrusive like regular car horns, in my opinion.

Like the "Bull of the Woods", it lows at people to let them know "You're the Boss".

Does anyone else remember that chewing tobacco commercial?
