    A slat grill

I have found a slat grill, I think its from a 1941 Willys Jeep

It was in the back of a garage under a lot of junk/rubbish

Did they ever stamp anything on them, numbers letters ?

This looks in pretty good condition

I'm wondering if it the real thing

    How can I tell ?

    Derrick,

I don't believe that the reproduction pieces have been on the market for too terribly long. If the grill was sitting in the back of a shed, in Europe, under rubbish, I would be pretty confident that it was legit. I have read where in France, Jeep hoods were flattened out to create roofs and walls of homes and sheds when rebuilding. I don't know of any identification marks being stamped or welded into the grill itself.

The slat grill would make a good wall hanger/conversation piece, if anything.
